Before beginning IVF treatment, Dr. Wei performed a hysteroscopy on the wife and discovered multiple uterine fibroids. These fibroids were not only affecting the uterine environment but were also likely the main reason she had been unable to conceive for years. After appropriate treatment, and under Dr. Wei’s assessment, they officially began their IVF journey.
The outcome did not disappoint. Despite the long and difficult road, their persistence paid off — with just one egg retrieval and one embryo transfer, the embryo successfully implanted and the baby has been growing healthily ever since.
A few months later, the couple returned to GENE IVF Medical Center with their adorable baby to share the joyful news with Dr. Wei and the team. What’s more, they expressed their wish to transfer the remaining embryos in hopes of welcoming another member into their family 💕
